Is the box on the inside or outside of frame? CPP part numbers? Pics of your situation? Have you tried block hugger? This shorty type block hugger may allow you to create adjoining pipes that clear.
Sometimes folks swap sides with the stock manifolds and it helps. Not sure about 348.
