I'll remove the star washers and see what happens. Thanks fellas!

FYI-I'm using a NAPA 7/32" cork valve cover gasket, FPG VS50190C.

Edit: I removed these star washers. Two of them are face up and two are face down. As you can see, looks like a nice route for 'oil creep'.
