I'd really like to add side mirrors to my 49 but I hate to drill holes in the nice paint. Afraid I might mess it up.
LOL. I don't have that problem, cuz no paint yet.
You'll just have to grit your teeth and follow Carl's advise. One thing I'd add is that once you can see the dimple on the outside, use the center punch from the outside to make that a depression to center the drill bit. It's too hard to keep a drill bit from wandering off if you start on top of a hill.
