My 35 year old grease gun has really started to leak oil (I guess its the grease that has come out of suspension maybe?) out the back end when I am pumping grease out the front. It has always leaked some, but just a little during storage. But yesterday I was trying to do my annual grease job and I had to keep a rag under it at all times to keep the oil off the floor. My questions are, is this related to the age of the gun and it is time to replace/repair? Can it be repaired? Is it the type of grease maybe? Or is it just the loose nut on the end of the handle? This is the only grease gun I have ever owned, so I have no experience with others to rely on.
Thanks, Lee.
