I just finished my T-5 swap today with the drive shaft instal.
My adapter was made by Buffalo Enterprises in Washington.
IMHO the shifter in an old truck should reflect the measure of the man drivin it. This did not work as the throw on the box is long with the given heght, not to mention knocking the rear view out of alignment everytime I shifted into 4th or hit my passengers in the head trying for reverse.
What I did do was cut and grind opposing notchs in both the T-5 and factory 3 speed shift levers, clamped them together, and welded them at the seams. This gives me a factory shifter with hegight just below the steering wheel. The throw is a bit long but I plan to remedy this with a Hurst or B&M shifter kit.
