After you shut it down look down the carb. throat. If gas is dripping from the discharge nossels you have a float or needle valve problem. It,s possible one of the plugs in the bottom of the carb are leaking but not likely. The main jets & metering rods control the air- fuel mixture but would not cause flooding after shutdown.
