Nice to hear from you 2.73 guys.....I'm not rushing out and chucking the 3.08. It could very well be that I'm jumping to conclusions too quickly. I'm going to give it a little time...it's absolutely great around town and do some "open road" driving where I can get the feel of the machine....also will stick on my vacuum gauge to see what's happening inside the 235.
I like to putz along at a modest 60-65...probably P.O. some speedsters but maybe I'll just have to kick it up a notch and join the crowd when I'm on the big road. Probably will stick on some upgraded tierod ends and possibly a steering stabilizer. Right now she runs true as a bullet but there's no sense pushing my luck.
I'd like to presonally thank all of you who have offered suggestions, advice, and encouragement during my project. If you ever get down this way, I'm in the book. Won't take you to Disney but can put you on some primo bass fishing and I know where to find good Florida style home cooking. Thanks again!
Dave
BTW...46 in progress, I found that the late model ABS diffs were out of sight moneywise. The mid-late 80's Camaro's were about the only ones you could touch without a mortgage.
