If a transporter is available, I'd be very reluctant to try to drive it home. That truck is too nice to risk ending up in a wreck from a sudden brake failure, steering problems, etc. or even a blown-out tire. The cost of paying for a tow might be cheap insurance, especially if another vehicle was involved in an accident. I won't venture out on the road with any vehicle that's not properly licenced and insured. Having a brother who's a legal beagle has opened my eyes to just how sleazy some of those guys can be!
