All good suggestions, thanks. The log chain is genius... sometimes the best ideas are the simple ones. I appreciate the suggestions for this newbie.
I went to NAPA today and got a clip on chuck and a remote valve with a 10ft coil. That plus a chain should keep things within a reasonable margin of safety. I'll throw my sledge in the car too when I go to fill it up for extra insurance.
