I talked to a fellow just last night at a local car meet who has a '52 chev one ton.
He put it on a '75 1/2 ton 2wd chev lwb frame, bagged it and put a 383 stroker in it. It was long and low.
His front wheels stuck out maybe an inch as the full size crossmember is to wide. Didn't look bad though.
Might be worth checking into more.
