I'm thinking about putting vintage air in my 59 truck. Sales guy tells me I should update charging system from my 1982 chevy internal regulated alternator to some crazy 162 amp alternator, so I can have an electric cooling fan for the radiator. I think a 162 amp alt is a little much. Wouldn't that over charge the battery and boil the battery dry?
