My one and only experience with Total Seal rings was with a fellow round track racer who insisted on using them in an engine I built and dyno tuned for him. After a season of running on a 5/8 mile paved oval once a week, we attempted to freshen up the engine. The cylinders were worn barrel-shaped, with the most wear in the center of the piston ring travel. We had to junk that block.
