Assuming it's a 55p differential instead of a 55t, the ring gear is a bit smaller, but doesn't sound unreasonable when you look up ring sizes in other trucks. Looks like there's a wonderful variety of ring & pinion ratios currently marketed for the car axle instead of just 3.38 for the 55t. https://www.drivetrainshop.com/GM_55P_55T_s/106.htm
