I think the problem lies with the flasher operating voltage of 5-7 volts and my alternator puts out 7.5 volts. An LED pilot might work but at $15 a pop for the flasher, I'll have to decide if I can just live with no pilot or spring for another flasher and try the LED pilot. Thanks for the input.
