So didn't end up getting that '79 half ton but I did get my hands on an '87 R20 Silverado. I am currently parting it out slowly and waiting for the weather to get warm. Plan is to get the front end out of there and clean it up, not sure how far I'll go but I'd like to go as far as sand blasting and powder coating and a front end rebuild kit like this one
