i used a 16 gal univ tank, 14 gauge. this done on a 51 3100. this puppy ain't going nowhere.
there is room under the bed, just behind the cab, w/ the filler neck just infront of the pass rear fender and the tube fits above the frame rail to fit a spout. my spout is the old cab spout turned 180 degrees, welded a (muffler pipe) flare of 2'' to the 1 1/4'' stock filler tube to a gas hose into the 2'' muffler pipe of the gas tank. it hangs off the cross bed rails using 1/2'' all-thread and two 13'' under tank steel bars. all locktite'd and double nutted.
