Rebuilding ain't cheap, especially if you have the machine shop pick the parts, do the assembly and buy the parts. Rebuilding a less common engine can get very costly. I imagine if you had stronger rods, pistons, rockers, etc... plus extensive head work like porting, polishing, putting the heads on a flow bench, for a blower ready motor it would get really expensive!
You can save some money by having the machine shop do just the machine work using parts you supply (pistons, rod bolts n' nuts, cam bearings, soft plugs, valves/guides/ seats)
