Well the first question to ask when some one asks what the best is, is best for what?
There are lots of options and which is best for your friend may not be what someone else thought best. How are you going to use this truck? What's your fabrication skill level? What are you trying to accomplish with a clip?
Camaro, Chevelle, G-Body, Mustang II, '63 to '87 GM pickup, Corvair van. Those are the ones I've seen, and there are reasons to consider or reject each.
