Hi,
Your second part is a busted door check retainer. Keep it until you get the new one to make sure the new one lines up with your current configuration. There should be a small bar with a roundish hole on one end and a roll pin, and 2 screws/bolts as well.
The picture above is correct, the piece you have that's busted is the part that isn't painted body color.
