From my stove bolt history notes:
1929 was the year General Motors introduced their new inline 194 cubic-inch (50 hp) ‘Over Head Valve’ six-cylinder in the Chevrolet and GMC trucks.
GMC did not use Chevrolet motors in any of their US built light duty trucks built back then, they used Pontiac and Buick until they started making their own engines.
