I am looking at a 64 C-10 project truck as a daily driver.
1964 Chevrolet C-10 short wide bed (fleet side) 230 cu in, 6 cylinder manual 3 speed trans
It is very sound with little to no rust. A great truck to start with. It runs and drives perfectly right now but is 100% original.
In order to make this my daily driver it would need to be modified to make it highway compatible. What are the least number and most economic changes I could make to have it ready for interstate cruising?
Transmission? Rear end? Both? Anything else?
Suggestions on what the donor should be for anything I replace.
I am also considering replacing the 6 cylinder with a V8. Haven't decided yet.
