1954, and 55 1st series Chevrolet COEs, came standard with a Carter model 2075 updraft carburetor. The Carter model 871s, were on 50-53 models. Main difference is, the 2075s face forward, because of the air cleaner being under the hood, versus the 871 carb., facing rearward, because of the air cleaner being mounted under the cab floor.
