I have a '53 235 with Powerglide in my very stock looking '50 and a snot-nosed kid of about 17 years old walked up to my truck, took one look at the engine and asked, "That's a 235 isn't it?"
Burst my bubble. That episode did give me hope for the current new generation though.

Based on the responses and questions I have received about my truck I think many of those people either aren't aware of a 216 or think the trucks came with a 235. Some people ask that without seeing the engine.
