The door window molding are stainless and the PO painted the windshield moldings silver. Recently, someone posted a reply in the Interior forum stating that stainless steel windshield moldings do not exist for safety reasons. They went on to say that glare off the the SS would be a safety issue. It makes sense to me. I plan to do some interior painting next Spring and those windshield moldings are on the list. Maybe the SS window moldings are part of the deluxe trim package? My '47 is a lot like Johnny Cash's Cadillac: it's a 49, 50, 51, 52, 53, 54, 55, 56, 57, 58, 59 automobile..........Hopefully, Brad Allen can jump in here and set the record straight!
