Hy oldieoldie, I know there are many kits available with boosters, master cylinders, proportioning valves and brackets, I think most if not all of them were designed for trucks up to one ton. If those parts will work for what you propose to do I do not know. My advise is to buy a master cylinder with a bore that is equal to what the truck originally came with and buy the booster to go in front of it. Your truck probably came from the factory with a Hydrovac booster and that worked fine with a single system master cylinder, however if you go to a dual braking system the easiest thing to do is to install a booster in front of the master cylinder and boost both braking circuits at once. The only other caution I can think of at the moment is to purchase a master cylinder set up for drum/drum brakes, many of the kits sold today use master cylinders designed for disc/disc braking systems with these used in a drum/drum system ten p.s.i. residual pressure valves must be installed in each braking circuit, hope that helps.
