Was given an under hood lamp bracket - probably a repop - and want to install it in my 49. I do not intend to have it work but thought it would be different.
Looking at the bracket I assume it would mount parallel to the front/rear hood seam. But there are no mounting points. If I mounted it at a right angle to the seam the two bolts (on either side) of the seam at the rear bracket might work. This would have the bracket perpendicular to the hood seam. Would this be correct? If yes, which side does it go on? Driver or passenger?
If it is I am concerned about removing the existing bolts to install the light bracket fearing I would upset the hood alignment/seam. I would remove one bolt, install the bracket loosely and then remove/replace the second hoping this will not affect anything.
Thanks.
