Are you saying wider to accept a wider belt? or are you using the word "wider" to mean it does not line up with other pulleys? 2. How wide is the belt? 3. Please tell us what is wrong with the setup now, exactly.
You can't really be sure what pulley until you measure the belt. Measure the ID (bore) and OD of the pulley also. As mentioned by Carl, I would buy locally. If you are positive about all the dimensions and what alternator you have, you could order online, but risky.
