I have a 68 C20 with a 465. The standard lever for the 465 is quite long, cutting it down would help. I replaced the original lever in my 68 with 435 lever out of a 69 GMC, had to tweak it a bit to clear the bottom of the dash. I also polished the part of the lever that drops into the shifting forks, didn't help a whole lot. If some one has some tricks I would sure like to hear them. Larry
