I'm curious to see if I can find out what I did wrong on my weld job. My doors, 1953 half ton, were horribly rusted, so I bought inner and outer lower skins. I asked questions here, and watched lots of videos first. I installed the inners first, welded all of the way across the inside, plus across the ends. They turned out fine. My problem is with the outer skins. I clamped them at the ends, and installed a few leveling, gap setting clamps across the seam, so I had a gap all of the way across. I went slow on the welding, took lots of breaks, and moved around on the seam while welding, trying to only weld in the coolest area. I was generally happy with the look of the weld, and had good penetration. BUT, when I finished, I have a raised up, (ill call it puckered) area right at the seam of the weld. I'm sure that I did something wrong, but I have no idea what. Just trying to learn here, so it doesn't happen next time.
