Ive used the rubber freeze plugs a time or two with good results. The catch is you have to tighten them up tighter than you think you should. Then alitta tighter if you know what I mean? On the other hand, find a socket to fit the metal type freeze plug and try to get it in square as possible without distorting. Practice makes perfect..
