Wingnut-I don't have firsthand experience with this, but I seem to remember reading somewhere that the new "one piece" tierod ends were being introduced widely as standard replacements for older vehicles with the "ball and socket" ends. You might want to check with a knowledgeable parts person at your local NAPA, Carquest, etc. Remember, it's sometimes better to try to deal with the older fellas behind the counter, as they might have more knowledge of what you're working on.
