I just picked up a 36 High cab with the intentions of building a hot rod. Figured I would check her first before deciding which direction to take it as I would not want to send something off to the scraper that should have been kept for posterity sake. It is a 36 cab and chassis, enclosed drive line, 2 speed rear and manual brakes. Fenders are in good shape so I have considered adding a pickup bed. mustang 2 front end and a modern drive line. The other option would be to go open wheel with a homemade 2x3 frame and a homemade bobbed bed.

Either way the cab needs wood, lower cowl patches and rockers. Any suggestions on where to find lower cowl patches? or just do my best to make some out of 16ga steel?
