the headers were a good start!.
you could go to a new intake manifold setup with small 4 barrel (be sure it has a water heated manifold). OR you could go for the cool factor. there is a company called vintage speed that has an adapter (about $90) that will go from your one barrel intake to a dual one barrel intake that looks SOOOOO cool. they also sell the complete setup with carbs, linkage and everything you need to install it (more than $90!). that way you dont have to try to tune dual carbs yourself. the owner is also a great help with setup and problems.
then consider cam, HEI, timing changes,etc ........ you know, all those $$$ things!
