I have a Chevy small block in my truck. I have placed the oil sensor at the top of the engine close to the distributor.

There are two other threaded "holes" in the engine that may require plugs. One is a few inches below the oil dip stick hole and the other is above the oil filter. I believe the one above the oil filter is an alternate oil sensor hole.

Do I have to plug both these holes? If so, what size threads will the plugs require? The plugs I have are 1/4 inch but I am nit certain they are NPT. I thought I read somewhere they use NPT threads.
