I would remove the door and fix it right. The spot welds will be visible on the leading edge of the door where it faces the hinge pillar of the cab. You should be able to place the part in the correct position since the broken off corners are still spot welded to the door. You can hold it in place with a self-tapping screw or two, then drill and weld it from the outside.
