I have a 1958 Apache 3100 currently nearing the end of a very good restoration process, but need help on several final things needed to complete the project:
- The truck came with the dash cut-out for a radio, but had not radio. The dash did have the Chevrolet Bowtie filler plate installed in the space where a radio would go. There were no cut-out, slots, etc. in the top of the dash for a speaker and no speaker anywhere in the truck. I would like to know where some of you have installed speakers without cutting into the beautifully painted dash or the kick panels. Would really like to see pictures where some of you have installed your speakers other than the top of the dash or the kick panels.
- The license plate bracket that was on the truck when I go the truck was not the correct one for the truck so, a new one has been ordered. Would some of you send pictures of where and how your license plate bracket is mounted, please. The bracket ordered places about one-half of the light that is supposed to shine on the license plate to be hidden by the bumper. Pictures please.
- How is the jack secured to the plate that is bolted to the floor board behind the passenger side of the seat? Is it held in place with a strap of some kind or is it held in place with a spring? Pictures please.
- Looking to find a lug wrench and would like to know where and how the lug wrench and the LONG jack crank handle are stored in the truck and where are they stored. Again, pictures p[lease.
