I’ve already gone thru the electrical and brake systems and cringed over some of the PO’s butchery. And thanks for the lead on the alternator pulley!
Now concerning the water pump. Are the thickness’s of the two plates the same? With my past background as a machinist, I’ve aligned industrial pump to motor, fan to motor pulleys before. I know from past experience that a 1/16” misalignment can cause premature bearing, belt failures and excessive pulley wear.
If the two plates are different, should this be a concern or is my (perfectionist) machinist background clouding the issue?
