We have a '53 GMC half ton. It's a Canadian made version apparently so it's called a 9300. The '53s came with a full pressure Chevrolet 235 that the american trucks got in '54. Just about everything is interchangeable with the exception of the ring gear carrier, it's slightly different for the Canadian trucks for some reason.

Edit: I noticed even the wheel (ball) bearings were made in Canada. When I repacked them last spring I had to replace one as one ball out of them all had some scoring. I guess 65 years is a good run for a bearing.
