I found my amplifier-box Suburban to be as quiet as a new vehicle after doing the 3.55 conversion with all new bearings/bushings in the rear end and rear axles. I guess the sound difference might/will be much less in a standard cab? Tim 1954Advance-Design.com 1954 3106 Carryall Suburban 1954 3104 5-window pickup w/Hydra-Matic The 216 and early 235 engines are not "splash oilers" -- this is a splash oiler.
