They're Carillo tool steel NASCAR rods 6.4" long with a 1.875" rod bearing. That allows me to stroke the crankshaft to 4 3/8" with just a little material to spare to make sure the rod journal ends up round. That's 1/4" more stroke potential than when using the 292 connecting rod. It will take a little bushing work on the wrist pin hole in the piston, and a wrist pin for a Harley-Davidson motorcycle to make everything on the bottom end play nicely together, and just a little material decked off the cylinder head surface of the block. I'm shooting for a 9.5:1 compression ratio. Torque monster!
