Rebuilding the brakes on my 1950 3100 and have run into another issue. Trying to find brake shoe retaining cone springs and "J" hooks and have checked Jim Carter, The Filling Station and others but theirs fit 36-48 not 49+50, I talked to the Techs and they said the hooks would not be long enough and they do not make them. The springs and hooks were missing when I took the brakes apart so I have nothing to compare them to. The rear brakes do not even have a hole in the backing plate for them. I am trying to get the truck back on the road and trying to resolve this problem, any help will be appreciated. Thanks.
