I have been driving my 54 since 1983 with radials. Depending on the look you want and maybe you should switch to different more modern rims and your use, you could use auto rated tires for a lot less money. As for the mechanical issues, I leave that to my learned members. BTW i switched to IFS early on in my ownership Welcome..
