Wannabe, Yes a short fwd column is a very good solution to the problem. It's what I'm running in my rear steer BBC powered coupe. Run heavy duty front and rear sway bars and the car handles like it's on rails. Tracks down the highway with no problems. Never have let it out, but have played with a Porsche at 115+.
