Bluesman - don't get new hinges, I've read they are horrible to use, I "rebuilt" my hinges after reading about all the problems others have had. I purchased a set of new hinges before I read the stories. They are still on the shelf. There are youtube videos on rebuilding the hinges.

Moving the doors "out" is going to require using all of the bolt clearance in the hinge plate, and there isn't much so you could remove the hinge and open up the width of the slotted holes. You could also take the bolts and reduce the diameter of the bolt under the head of the bolt for a distance greater in length than the thickness of the hinge plate to also get more "clearance". You can do it!
