I just recently bought a 66 C10 Short step side for my Daughter. She just turned 16 and it's her first vehicle. She's excited to have it and to have me working on it with her. I'm not touching it unless she's here with me. It has a straight 6 that somebody had started to update with an alternator and HEI distributor and a floor shift 3 speed. The power train will be a learning experience for both of us. I'm a V block person. I've helped restore a 64 C10, so the body isn't new to me. We have some work to do before she'll be cruising in it. But, the engine rotates and looks ok for the most part, and trans looks excellent. This truck is already giving us a story to tell and we've barely even started tinkering with it. Oh yeah, by the way, my Daughter named the truck Stitch. I'll be on, probably frequently, for help with the engine, which I believe is a 250.
