The casting numbers on my block are 3835253 which all the reading I’ve done points me to believe it’s a 1948 216 but what’s throwing me off is the serial numbers do not start with FA or GA they start with numbers 311 I’ve looked into those numbers and the 1940 216 used those numbers . And also the car I pulled it out of is a 1940 special deluxe . Wondering why would my serial numbers match the year of my car but the casting numbers are way off in years .. also looked at the heads casting numbers and they macth the 1948 numbers. Any input would be appreciated. Also if any one knows what the number below the casting number 3835253 means mine happens to be 19 . | | |
