I for sure agree that fuel inside the carb bowl is vaporizing or building pressure or something causing fuel starvation. However, it is strange that it doesn’t seem to have a problem at highway speeds. Looks like Jim Carter sells insulators to go between the carb and manifold.
Oh, and I’m pretty sure my heat riser stays open all the time (bad).
