Anyway, the first three digits of the engine serial number that you see stamped on the pad by the distributor decodes it (the lower end) to a '52 Series 3100 216ci Truck Engine. See: Early Chevy Engine Serial Number ID. The head casting number IDs that as a '54-55 235 truck head. Interesting combination! See: Early Chevy Block & Head Casting Numbers.
