OK kiwinz, I'm going to confuse you even more. If you were near me I would sell you a 383 that I built for my Vette, I was going to swap it for the original 350 but lost interest in the car. I have also thought about swapping it for the original 283 in my '57 but I love the originality of the two ton. I'm just saying you have a world of options with the Chevy V8's so don't make a rash decision, lots of help here waiting to assist you, good luck and keep asking questions.
