The only difference may be the bolt holes in the frame for the rear cab mounts. I have two GMC 3/4 ton frames, one a 53, the other a 52. On both, the bolt holes are vertically in line (|). The 53 GMC frame has a Chevy cab from a 53 1/2 ton sitting on it. The Chevy cab mounts have bolt holes which are on a diagonal(/). These are the only differences I've noticed concerning stock cab and bed mounts. Good luck to ya!
